Owner, Michele Hepfler has an extensive history in nutrition, lifestyle change and management, business ownership, cooking and baking. She has a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Dietetics and was a Certified Lifestyle Coach for twenty years. During that time, she along with seven other health professionals from across the United States co-
created and produced an international lifestyle program for overweight children.
Michele, and her husband, Don have three children who are not shy when it comes to tasting and enjoying a variety of foods. As the kids were growing up, one of the family’s favorite weekend events was to host taste-test parties and score their favorites. This activity exposed the kids to all different kinds of foods---still a favorite activity to date. The family loved elaborate Sunday brunches at home with three to four egg dishes, two to three breads, muffins, scones, and fruit medleys.
Michele’s love language is cooking for her family. The passion for entrepreneurism and desire to create change in the world hit the youngest child, Aaron. Michele helped Aaron start his own baking business, Yum Yum Rolls at age eleven. Aaron bakes his grandmother’s cinnamon rolls recipe to help raise
money for charity and to save money for college. To date, Aaron has raised $15,000.00 for Water for South Sudan and provided the country a new water well.
In March of 2022, Michele’s family experienced a house fire which would keep them displaced for almost one year. A short five days after the fire, Michele and her daughter were diagnosed with Hashimotos, an auto-immune condition that attacks the thyroid. Although, the family had good eating habits, this created significant changes for Michele (and her daughter). She is thankful for her nutrition background , educational opportunities, and her willingness to learn to navigate the Hashimotos remission journey.
In addition to regulating the proper medication, hormone balancing strategies, supportive supplement regimen, and above all, dietary changes was an extensive ordeal to manage in addition to assisting her family top of recovering from the fire. At that time and to date, Michele began eating gluten free and dairy free. The commitment to eating soy free, seed-oil free, and refine sugar free came over time.
The benefits of energy, good sleep patterns, reduced brain fog, amongst many other positive changes have all been apparent.
During the journey of dietary changes, Michele became aware of the lack of food items readily available to people with auto-immune, diabetes, or are just looking for foods with the purest organic ingredients. Having the complete dietary change experience, and business startup experience, Michele began making the food items on the No BS Bakery menu. To the delight of herself and her family, a decision was made to build a Certified Kitchen and offer these delectable treats to others.
